Technology Solutions of Charleston’s vision is to provide our customer with the highest quality design, installation, and maintenance service available for information transport systems. TSC has designed and installed high performance cabling and voice networks for a variety of situations and different environments.  These include inside and outside cable plant construction and installation, campus-wide infrastructures, multiple building, and multiple floor installations.

Projects are accomplished by utilizing the criteria set forth in the ANSI/NECA/BICSI 568-2001 standard for Installing Commercial Building Telecommunications Cabling.  This includes following all state and local codes, and the NEC.  Additional applicable standards and/or codes are ANSI/TIA/EIA 569-A-1998, Commercial Building Standard for Telecommunications Pathways and Spaces, ANSI/TIA/EIA 606-1993, Administration Standard for the Telecommunications Infrastructure of Commercial Buildings and the ANSI/NFPA 101, 2000, Life Safety Code.  TSC installs cooper and fiber paying close attention to:

 

  • Penetrations & Firestopping
  • Cable installation
  • Telecommunication outlet termination
  • Telecommunication rooms
  • Connector and bushing installed
  • Acceptable amount of wool, putty and caulk
  • Bend radii
  • J-hook / other cable support at specified intervals
  • Bend radii
  • Spot testing
  • Bend radii
  • Identification of cable
  • Proper grounding
